AWARD TRIPS
Application Deadline: Thank you for applying. The deadline is past.
Who: Enrolled 4-H members ages 14 - 18 as of January 1, 2008
Each year, 4-H members are selected to attend special camps and events outside Ross County. These fun-filled, leadership activities offer memorable learning experiences to youth.
To apply for Award Trips or any of the Additional Opportunities, complete an Ohio 4-H Achievement Record

- 4-H Citizenship Washington Focus held in Washington D.C.
- 4-H Sea Camp held on Kelley's Island on Lake Erie
- 4-H Leadership Camp held at 4-H Camp Ohio in Licking County

CAMP COUNSELOR

Who: Enrolled 4-H members ages 14 - 18 as of January 1, 2008
Experience camp life as a counselor and you'll work closely with campers, take on a leadership role, develop the camp program and have fun! Ross County offers 3 youth camps where responsible, active counselors are needed.

To apply as a Camp Counselor, complete & return the following to the Extension office:
- Camp Counselor Application
- Camp Counselor Contract
- Ohio Volunteer Standards of Behavior Form
- 2 Counselor Reference Forms - to be completed & returned by adults who are NOT your relative.
CARTEENS
Application Deadline: none
Who: Enrolled 4-H members ages 15 1/2 & over and has their driving permit or license
Caution And Responsibility + Teenagers who participate = CARTEENS
To learn more about teen driving & to teach others about safe driving, join the the Ross County CARTEEN Program. CARTEENS participate in a Mock Crash, local Health Fairs, the Ross County Fair, Prom Promise, and other fun activities. For information, contact Program Co-ordinator Chrisy Danison at 702-3200.
ROSS COUNTY JUNIOR FAIR BOARD
Application Deadline: The 2008 JFB has been chosen. Please apply in August for the 2009 JFB
Who: Enrolled 4-H members ages 14 - 18 as of January 1, 2008
The Junior Fair Board is comprised of members representing several youth organizations... 4-H, Farm Bureau, FCCLA, FFA, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, and Grange.
See how the Ross County Junior Fair operates first-hand. Lots of work involved, but lots of fun, too. The JFB meets all year long preparing for the upcoming fair - from Fairgrounds Improvement & Row of Champions to Junior Fair Night and Cloverbud Activities- the JFB is one busy group! 4-H Members are selected for 1-year terms and must adhere to attendance & participation policies.
All applicants must complete and return a Junior Fair Boad Application to the Extension office. Interviews will be held in September for the upcoming year.
JUNIOR LEADERS
Application Deadline: On-going, you're always welcome!
Who: Enrolled 4-H members ages 14 - 18 as of January 1, 2008
The JL Club is an organized program of activities which encourages older youth to develop new knowledge, skills, and attitudes related to leadership & citizenship, while meeting with other 4-H'ers from around the county. Special awards are given to those who complete JL requirements.
It's easy to get involved, call 702-3200 for the next meeting date & time and then show up!
COUNTY 4-H SCHOLARSHIPS
Application Deadline: Thank you for applying. The deadline is past.
Who: 4-H members and 4-H Alumni
Kingston National Bank 4-H Scholarship ($500 scholarship sponsored by Kingston National Bank)
Requirements:
- Applicant must be a 4-H member and a high school senior who is planning to enroll as a freshman at any accredited college, university, or technical school.
- Any academic major is acceptable.
- Recipients maintaining an undergraduate GPA of 2.0 or higher during their first year will be entitled to receive an additional $500.00 toward second year tuition, providing an official transcript of grades is submitted.
- To apply, complete an Ohio 4-H Scholarship Application.

Nicky Morris Memorial 4-H Scholarship ($500 scholarship in Memory of Nicky Morris)
Requirements:
- Applicant must be a 4-H member and a high school senior planning to enroll as a freshman at any accredited college, university, or technical school.
- Any academic major is acceptable.
- Preference will be given to members who have taken a market hog project.
- To apply, complete an Ohio 4-H Scholarship Application.

Ross County 4-H Scholarship ($500 scholarship in Memory of David Lane)
Requirements:
- Applicant must be a 4-H member and a high school senior planning to enroll as a freshman at any accredited college, university, or technical school.
- Any academic major is acceptable.
- To apply, complete an Ohio 4-H Scholarship Application.

Ross County 4-H Alumni Scholarship ($500 scholarship sponsored by Nestle Beich Candy Co. and the Ross County 4-H Endowment Fund)
Requirements:
- Applicant must be 19 years of age as of January 1 of the current year.
- Applicant must be a former Ross County 4-H member.
- Applicant must be a sophmore, junior, or senior status at any accredited college, university, or technical school.
- Currently enrolled full-time (12 hours or greater) in any academic major.
- Have an undergraduate cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher.
- To apply, complete a 4-H Alumni Scholarship Application.
OHIO 4-H SCHOLARSHIPS

Who: 4-H members & 4-H Alumni
NOTE: These forms are to be returned directly to State 4-H Office. Refer to form.
There are 24 state-wide 4-H scholarships available. Several are listed below, for a complete list & eligibility requirements click Ohio 4-H Scholarships.
Collegiate 4-H Scholarship
two $500 tuition credits available to 4-H members planning to attend OSU or are currently enrolled at OSU and a member of Collegiate 4-H.
John T. Mounts Scholarship
one $1000 tuition credit awarded to a former 4-H member attending as a sophmore, junior, or senior at OSU Main Campus
Cunningham 4-H Leadership Scholarship
one $700 tuition credit awarded to a past 4-H member and a sophmore, junior, or senior at OSU
Vance Family 4-H Scholarship
one $2000 and two $1000 tuition credits awarded to a current 4-H member and graduating senior or a current freshman, sophmore, or junior enrolled at OSU
