4-H CAMP COUNSELORS

HOW TO APPLY
1. Complete, sign & return the Counselor Application Forms.
NOTE: These 3 forms are in one document ... Camp Counselor Application, the Counselor Contract, and the Counselor Standards of Behavior Form.
2. Have two adults complete, sign & return Reference Forms.
NOTE: person cannot be your relative; can be club advisor, teacher, pastor, etc.
REQUIREMENTS
1. Attend Camp Counselor Orientation
2. Attend All Counselor Training Meetings
3. Attend Ross County Counselor Camp
4. Optional Camp Planning Sessions - During these meetings, counselors will plan camps (themes, campfire, activities, etc.) Additional meetings will be set as needed.
COUNSELOR SELECTIONS

Counselor selections will be notified by mail.

Counselors are selected on the basis of camp experience, ability to take responsibility & leadership roles, ability to cooperate & work as a team member

For those who have been counselors, your previous counseling experience is taked into consideration.

The training process is never "over". Counselors are continually being evaluated and must follow the Camp Counselor Contract and the Volunteer Standards of Behavior.
